This thumb care kit was mindfully designed by hand therapists and inspired by research to help soothe the pain, inflammation, and weakness associated with thumb arthritis. The ball and resistance band exercises were carefully selected to help target the key muscles of thumb to help restore function and/or support the CMC joint. Each exercise was carefully and considerately chosen and is supported by current research.
*Exercises included in this kit are designed to help stabilize the base of the thumb and are recommended for people who can still move their thumbs at each joint. If you have extremely limited motion, no motion, or excessive pain in your thumbs, you should not attempt these exercises without the guidance from a hand therapist or doctor.
